LATISSE and Longer Eye Lashes - Is it safe? Does it work?

LATISSE & Longer Lashes

What is LATISSE?

Latisse (bimatoprost) a topical prescription product from Allergan (the makers of Botox and Juvederm), is the first and only scientifically proven product approved by the FDA to stimulate eyelashes to grow longer and thicker. It can also treat Eyelash hypotrichosis, another name for having inadequate or not enough eyelashes. It is prescription and we can write that prescription for you..

What to Expect

Enhanced eyelash growth is typically seen within 4-8 weeks but may take up to 3 months in certain patients. Once lashes have grown to their desired length reduce applications to 2-3 times per week. This is necessary to maintain your results. If application is discontinued completely eyelashes will begin to shed normally and return to their pretreatment appearance in 2-4 weeks.

LATISSE Safety

Properly trained application of Latisse is a safer option than eye lash extenders. Nothing to glue or get stuck in your eye. And nothing to fall out. When used as directed on the eyelids for eyelash growth Latisse has been proven safe with no serious adverse events reported. Side effects were typically limited to temporary redness of the eye or eyelids. When used in the eye daily for glaucoma treatment, other side effects have been reported such as darkening of the skin under the eyes or the irises.
